The Robotics Industry Is Developing Well

According to Wang Weiming, Director of the First Division of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China's robot industry has shown a good momentum of development, scale, technology and product breakthroughs. In terms of scale, from 2016 to 2020, the scale of China's robot industry has grown rapidly, with a compound annual growth rate of about 15%; in terms of technology and products, key technologies and components such as precision reducers and intelligent controllers have accelerated breakthroughs and innovative achievements. Continue to emerge, the performance of the whole machine is greatly improved, the functions are more and more abundant, and the product quality is continuously optimized. At the same time, the application level has improved significantly.

China has been the world's largest consumer of industrial robots for eight consecutive years. In 2020, the density of manufacturing robots will reach 246 units per 10,000 people, nearly twice the world average. The application field of industrial robots covers 52 industry categories such as automobiles and electronics, and 143 industry categories. Service robots and special robots have achieved large-scale applications in the fields of warehousing and logistics, education and entertainment.
