Public spaces are now often empty and quiet. However, one thing remains. Cleaners, they work day and night tirelessly keeping the facilities clean and disinfected in the shadows. And this is a lot of Labour and Man-hours. Cleaning these days are often slower, and more deliberate with extra tasks needed.

Often overlooked in the past, the cleaner’s value has been steadily increasing, at least in the eyes of those who did not see their true value before the global pandemic forced their eyes wide open.

And of course, Labour is not the only cost, the price of Personal Protective Equipment runs into billions of dollars as well globally. In the US alone, the CDC predicts that school districts might spend up to nearly $1.2 billion on disposable masks and hundreds of millions more on sanitizers. These are huge additional costs that facilities and cleaning companies must bear.
